Around the 90-kilometre mark the corridor reaches its busiest cluster of feeder junctions:
- Highway 6 north peels off toward Guelph, about ten minutes from the 401, with its manufacturing base and university-linked industry.
- The 401 passes directly through Cambridge, whose industrial parks in Hespeler and along Franklin Boulevard sit right at the interchanges.
- Highway 8 leads into Kitchener–Waterloo via the Conestoga Parkway, connecting the region’s manufacturing and technology employers to the corridor.

Between the GTA and Woodstock, Highway 403 through Brantford offers a genuine alternate for freight that can approach from the Hamilton side of the map.
